My Amber series* plectrums are made from Ultem, a plastic of moderate density with great wear characteristics. With a bright tone and full attack, the Amber series provide a great increase to clarity. When warm from playing, they become noticeably grippier.
*Amber series currently vary in hue as shown in the product photos. 6-8mm picks are typically a darker orange, 5mm grey in colour, 3-4mm yellow/cream. This may vary with batches.
The thickness of these picks encourages a more relaxed grip whilst delivering a weightier attack with less effort. Due to the tapered ergonomic design, they feel significantly smaller and less cumbersome than the thickness measurement may imply. With smooth bevelled edges and a precise sharp tip, Winspear Picks give a precise playing experience and glide over the strings effortlessly.
Satisfied once again. Great company.
I had previously owned an Icegrip Shiv and Mini Shiv and had them for years until I had a bag stolen from me. Kinda stopped playing guitar as frequently so didn't bother replacing them. That was about 3 years ago. Fast forward to know and I've been playing a lot more and needed something better than flat and basic Dunlop jazz IIIs. Unfortunately Icegrips seem to be sold out, but this has been serving me well. My grip is more relaxed and I feel like I play a lot better all around with it compared to my normal ones. I will say there's a bit of a chirp compared to the Icegrip, but it's bearable unlike the Hufschmied mini anvils I used to have (in his defense, those are acrylic and they're huge, so being chirpy is a given).
